Aldhibah, Zeta Draconis, is a class B star, hot and blue-white, far more luminous than the Sun. It is a star in the later part of its main life, a little swollen as it ages.
Its place in the figure is the loop of the Dragon’s body that curls around the Little Bear. With Athebyne it once formed an Arabic figure of two serpents.
