About Nembus

Nembus is a class K giant, cooler than the Sun at its surface and many times its size, a star that has used up the hydrogen in its core. Its large surface area makes it much more luminous than the Sun despite the lower temperature.

It lies at the northern end of Andromeda, close to the edge of Perseus. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky but does not stand out among the brighter stars of the chain.

What you see in the piece

In the piece Nembus is an orange point near the border of two figures. From space it simply lies where it lies: the borders and the figures exist only from Earth.
