About Giausar
Giausar is a red giant of class M, a cool, swollen star much wider and more luminous than the Sun, with a surface cool enough to glow orange-red. It is in a late stage of its life.
Draco coils around the pole of the sky, its tail slipping between the Great Bear and the Little Bear. Giausar lies near the end of that tail, not far from the Pointers of the Plough, and from mid-northern latitudes it never sets.
What you see in the piece
In the piece Giausar keeps its true distance and colour; the Dragon’s long body unravels as soon as you leave the Sun.
